January 2017 - Recorded & Mixed a CD/LP release of a really special album from the great Jazz Pianist Alan Broadbent (played with so many great musicians from Woody Herman to Nelson Riddle) - a 3 movement symphony and arrangements of melodies like Milestones and Coltrane's Naima. Buy it!

This ongoing musical journey begins with Developing Story as Broadbent and his world-class trio of drummer Peter Erskine and bassist Harvie S, collaborates with the multimedia Hollywood industry London Metropolitan Orchestra (LMO) in presenting one of the most stunningly-gorgeous symphonically-styled jazz musical statements ever recorded.
— All About Jazz

The mighty Rob Mathes produced & arranged this fabulous album of symphonic arrangements of the songs by the ridiculously talented songwriter Albert Hammond (you'll be amazed how many of the songs on this album you'll know!). We recorded in studio 1 & 2 at Abbey.

Aug 2016 - First ever opera released in Dolby Atmos - Proud of this - Antonio Pappano conducts the Royal Opera House Orchestra in the wonderful coupling of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci. I produced, recorded and mixed this new Blue Ray - mixed for Dolby Atmos in Studio 3 at Abbey Road. When I record at the opera house there are 12 microphones hung from the roof, spread across the auditorium which, in Atmos, can be panned discretely above your head and creates a much more immersive and subtle sound space - perfect for live opera . In 5.1 musical details compete for space, particularly in the large tuttis - Not any more folks!

March 2016 - International Opera Awards - Three of my projects are nominated. In the DVD category I Produced & Engineered two operas, Symanowski's magnificent Krol Roger (seriously, check out the first ten minutes...) and Puccini's Manon Lescaut with Jonas Kaufmann and Kristine Opolais for the Royal Opera House, both conducted by Tony Pappano. In the CD category I recorded and mixed the new Warner Classics recording of Aida in Rome with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.

do not pass up the chance to see the power and achievement of Jonas Kaufmann and Kristine Opolais in the lead roles. Even in this day and age, to see (and hear) such uninhibited physical master of stage parts in opera is not so common - and everyone from the artists themselves to the director, designers and video director should be prasied…around them the support is terrifically sharp, the well-placed chorus included
— Manon Lescaut - Gramophone 2015
The album is simply stunning listening to it through a very good pair of headphones. The sounds are so crisp it literally makes the hairs stand up on my neck. (Milos, Blackbird)

I find it remarkable that the Rome recording of the Brahms is live, so rapt is the atmosphere, so inch-perfect the recorded balances . (Janine - Brahms)

November 2015 - Latin Grammys - Classical CD of the year

[Ex Patria is] an elegiac fantasia for piano and orchestra, very Russian in style…it hangs organically together, and has no need to be read as programme music…the best part of this CD consists of three improvisations…here is the full Montero, revelling in her fine technique and unstoppable creative flow
— BBC Music Magazine - 2015

Thrilled Gabbi won for an album I produced and recorded with her in Costa Rica. She is a huge talent with a huge heart - and this CD has her first orchestral work, Ex Patria, a deeply personal and political lament for her home country, Venezuela.
